Choosing organic means being involved in the protection of environmental and cultural biodiversity, preserving the territory, local culture, tradition, and recreating the balance of ecosystems through time. Since 1994, the farm and its stewards have chosen to be organic in every way possible, certified organic in 2004, and was awarded a Biodynamic certification in 2022.

This means the land is not treated with chemicals and/or fertilizers but replaced with phytotherapy.

As an organic farm, what goes onto our land and into our soil is vital.

Biodynamics is a holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food, and nutrition. Biodynamic farming aims to create healthy soil using compost and crop and grazing rotations. Uniquely, it treats the compost heap with medicinal plant-based preparations to encourage the microbial life needed for soil fertility (and which is suppressed by chemical fertilizer).
Biodynamic farmers observe the rhythms and cycles of the earth, sun, moon, stars, and planets and seek to understand the subtle ways that the environment and wider cosmos influence the growth and development of plants and animals. Biodynamic calendars support this awareness and understanding by providing detailed astronomical information and indications of optimal times for sowing, transplanting, cultivating, harvesting, and using the biodynamic preparations.
